Carolyn Mascho

Nurse Practitioner

Carolyn Mascho, DNP, has been interested in the medical field since she was a child. As a missionary kid growing up in Guatemala, she enjoyed reading her parents’ textbooks about parasitic diseases.

She began working as a nurse in 2008, and quickly realized that she wanted to work as a more independent provider for the best interests of her patients, so she went back to school to obtain her doctorate in nurse practice and nurse practitioner certification.

Carolyn has worked with the ACV Centers team for several years, first as a nurse working with clinical research and later as a nurse practitioner. After a brief period in Florida, she returned to Michigan to work with the ACV team. Carolyn’s favorite part of working at ACV is seeing people’s lives change after prevention of amputation. She also enjoys getting to know the patients and working together with other providers, including wound care and podiatry, to provide the best care for the patients at ACV Centers.

Carolyn has specialized in cardiovascular practice since her graduation from Grand Valley State University in 2014. She is BLS and ACLS certified and her professional affiliations include the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

When Carolyn isn’t helping patients at ACV Centers, she manages clinical research for Reflow Medical, a medical device company that is developing innovative methods for treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD). She also enjoys her days off with her husband and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys reading and running.
